On December 24, 2021 Carli Kantra was diagnosed with DIPG - the same rare and incurable cancer that affected Maria McNamara and too many other beautiful children. After undergoing 6 weeks of radiation, Carli participated in various clinical trials with the hope of helping other children afflicted with this disease, even if the treatments were unable to help her.

Carli always looked for opportunities to help others and contribute to the effort to find a cure. She decided to start making and selling blankets, so she could donate proceeds to Prayers from Maria. Born from her care for others, Petals of Promise continues to make blankets today to honor Carli and her legacy of compassion.

All proceeds from the sale of each blanket will help fund important research to advance treatments for kids like Carli, and hopefully one day provide a cure.
